Introduction to Japan PSE Certification 
PSE certification is Japan's mandatory safety certification to prove that the electrical and electronic products have passed the Japanese electrical and raw materials safety law (DENAN Law) or international IEC standards of safety standards test. Japan's DENTORL law (electrical equipment and materials control law) provides that 498 kinds of products into the Japanese market must pass safety certification. Among them, 165 kinds of A-type products should be made of rhombic PSE logo, 333 kinds of B-type products should be made round PSE logo.

PSE certified product range
165 types of Class A products are as follows:
Wire and cable, fuses, wiring equipment (electrical accessories, lighting appliances, etc.), current limiters, transformers, ballasts
Electric appliances, electric power application machinery (household appliances), electronic applications, mechanical equipment (high-frequency epilator)
Other electrical equipment for the exchange (electric shock insects, DC power supply devices), carrying the engine
 
333 Class B products are divided into 7 parts:
1. Simple wiring bushing and junction box;
2. Simple single-phase motors between 100V and 300V;
3. Household electric products;
4. Household electric or video products;
5. Use of light or civilian or household products;
6. Household and commercial electronic products;
7. Other electrical products between 100V and 300V.
 
PSE certification data preparation
1. Application for submission of information: business license, application form;
2. Test preparation information:
1) CB report (including Japanese differences test);
2) Layout diagram;
3) PCB design drawings related to safety regulations;
4) transformer and coil parts of the specifications;
5) List of key components and their certificates;
6) Japanese manual or assembly manual;
7) Japanese nameplate and warning signs (including PSE logo and notified supplier name);
8) structural data sheet;
9) List of production and calibration certificates used in factory production.
3. Test to provide samples: the main test model at least two, derived models each one.
 
PSE certification cycle
4-6 weeks (complete information, the sample without the case of rectification);
 
PSE certificate is valid
A class of rhombic 3 years, 5 years, 7 years (see the specific product)
Class B round 1 year, 2 years, 3 years (specific to see product)
